The annual Southwest Liturgical Conference Study Week is a dynamic time of prayer, study, sharing and growth, leading to that “full, conscious and active participation” in the liturgical life of the church as envisioned by the Second Vatican Council. The Diocese of Cheyenne is excited to host the 2018 SWLC Study Week, “Awaken the Voice: Sing as One to the Lord,” as we mark the 10-year anniversary of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops document, Sing to the Lord. ValLimar Jansen, Bishop Mark Seitz, Dr. Steve Janco and Carmen Florez-Mansi will awaken our voices in praise and worship of God through their major addresses; all Clergy are invited to participate with Bishop Seitz in a day-long reflection on the Ars Celebrandi; Hispanic Musicians are invited to play, sing and grow as music ministers with the Hispanic Pastoral Musicians Day; and over 60 individual sessions will look at RCIA; art, architecture and worship spaces; children, youth and catechesis; and provide opportunities and experiences in education and formation for all. Join us in Cheyenne January 16-19, 2018 at the Little America Hotel and Resort.
